Mushrooms
Morel
Morels are rare, and years can pass between finds of edible morels. It is a capricious mushroom that thrives with elm. There were some exciting years for morels in the 90s when the elm trees died and the mushrooms produced many fruit bodies. But since then elm trees have been in steep decline in Denmark due to Dutch elm disease, so it is not easy to find edible morels today.
